Sometimes we forget it is worth the wait

Girls are like
apples on trees. The best
ones are at the top of the tree.
The boys don't want to reach for
the good ones because they are afraid
of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they
just get the rotten apples from the ground
that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples
at the top think something is wrong with
them, when in reality, they're amazing.
They just have to wait for the right
boy to come along, the one
who's brave enough
to climb
all the way
to the top
of the tree.

After College Depression

I have noticed that many people have been depressed after their graduation. Is it the economy? Is it the Pressure? Panic sits in and people realize that graduation is just a day to wear a robe and a cap while realizing all those late night study sessions were not worth the lack of sleep.
Friends are each going their own ways or getting married. You are alone. something you wished for those many nights in the dorms. You stop going out because you no longer have school loans, the pool of the opposite sex, or the keg parties. What do you do with your life besides move into your parents basement to look for a real job with a worthless degree. Now it is time to freak out-Who am I? Who do I want to become? Where am I going? What are my passions in life? Am I making the right decisions?

Bite size bite size bite size from life. baby steps to trading pessimistic to optimistic
Ways to do this:
Exercise I am training for a triathlon
Detoxing Less drinking
Losing the toxic friends
deeeeeeep breaths

Self worth

Women....girls... females.. beauties.. whatever you want to be called. listen up-- you are worth it. This is something that we all need to learn because certain factors teach us the opposite ( society, TV, magazines, models, etc...) here are the rules that we should follow and teach

1. Thou shall not hang out with people who make a woman feel bad about themselves
2.Thou shall not feel guilty for the crazy guilty pleasures, embrace them (I eat pomegranates naked, and I enjoy it)
3. Thou can say "no" especially if 'yes' is a burden on thou self
4. thou is not perfect, and does not need to be
5.Thou shall 'mind their own business'--yes that girl is too skinny, too fat, too needy, too ugly, just let it go, work on thou self, not others
6.Do not apologize when you know in your gut that you are right
7.Admit your mistakes, we all make them move on
8. Be honest with thou self, it hurts sometimes but its worth it
9. thou shall leave there cellular phone at home once in awhile
10. Thou shall chose their battles
11. thou shall go for what they truly want in their heart (someday :)
12. thou shall love thou self, no matter what. You are your own temple, praise it.

Self esteem comes from the inside out. It means that a woman is not dependent upon anyone else to make her feel good about herself, because she already knows she's fine just the way she is. A woman is confident and aware of her strengths and abilities. Self-esteem is a core identity issue, when affected it can help or ruin happiness. Once achieved, it comes from the inside out. But it is assaulted or stunted from the outside in. LET THE OUTSIDE BURDENS GO!

New Year, New Blog, new attitude?

Last night I went out with a few friends. We went to a party that was similar to a high school reunion. I saw everyone from high school, the good, the bad, and the annoying. You must realize that I have not seen these people for almost four years. This is four years of joining the triathlon team, giving up binge drinking, and losing 60 lbs. The first thing that comes out of a certain boy's mouth, "holy cow your not fat anymore!" The thing is I was never "fat" I was just a husky swimmer... so kind of fat.. then his friends point out that I could be doing the finger down the throat thing. I was appalled! four years of kicking my own ass with vigorous workout routines to look good mentally and physically; and people think Im a copout. I did it for my self, and this is what the new years is about, loving my self and avoiding the things that drain me..
Soooo things that were draining in 2009...

  • stress of passing physics
  • self doubt-(not good enough)
  • my brother not getting his dream job that they said he was a shoe in for
  • face broken (very very sexy)
  • trying to make everyone else happy ( I don't enjoy golf, I don't like the 'sport' at all)
  • taking a Bible class and a cyberfiction class from the same teacher?
  • best friends sleeping around with boyfriend
  • crazy jealous people
  • death
  • my dog's ear infection
  • losing a job
  • divorce
  • being called too ugly, too fat, too anything
  • mood swings of family members
  • moving back home into my parents basement
  • bad snow tires
  • being broke (everyone is ugggg)
  • grandparents in hospital
  • people who bring me down
